THE POSITION
Would you enjoy using your innovative analytical skills and multimedia talents to assist the Department of Revenue? We are searching for an ambitious Revenue Research Analyst 1 to provide support to the Customer Outreach Relations and Engagement (CORE) Division in the collection, organization, and analysis of the department’s tax technical and agency specific outreach programs. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your previous experience while enhancing your professional toolkit!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Revenue Research Analyst 1, you will create technical video and audio recordings for multimedia projects for educational, training, documentary, and other purposes. Work includes setting up, videotaping, and recording audio equipment for video production shoots; interpreting written script segments in visual terms applying accepted standards of motion, composition, and continuity; operating a variety of professional quality digital video cameras, video and audio recorders, other video production equipment, and digital video editing systems.
You will also a ssist in the administration of the Commonwealth’s Learning Management System which includes monitoring completion of agency-specific training, running training record and course completion reports, entering instructor-led course dates into the system, and entering course completions into the system. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, as you will be collaborating with the department's webmaster on items concerning Revenue’s website, in addition to responding to taxpayers, representatives, and tax practitioners regarding various inquiries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of supervisory experience in a major tax system which involved the receipt or examination of tax returns or the enforcement of the tax rules and regulations; or
One year of experience in systems analysis and/or operations research and a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in courses involving the use of quantification techniques applicable to systems analysis and operations research such as statistics, systems analysis, mathematical model building, algebra, calculus, operations research, quantitative research design, economic analysis, computer science, or any other quantifiable course work. Appropriate graduate study may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Additional Requirements:
You must possess one or more years of experience using Adobe Creative Cloud.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
