JBT Corporation Production Planner in Pennsylvania, United States

Overview Purpose: The Planner is responsible for, but not limited to, performing material planning activities in the demand, production, and supplier planning functions within the business ERP system. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules and capacity requirements. Coordinates with production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedule. Position requires understanding of concepts, methods and procedures. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Measures and analyzes capacity and demand requirements for the manufacture of parts and equipment at two sites. Manage master planning, material processes, and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Maintain and update planning parameters within ERP system Sets purchasing priorities. Reports on manufacturing backlog, shop labor efficiency, lead-time accuracy and success rate. Coordinating production workflow for multiple jobs Coordinate and be the liaison on all transfer orders Uses business ERP system to maintain dates, identify material shortages, monitor and run shortage reports. Open, change, and close Job Orders Fosters a continuous improvement of the planning process, on the basis of metrics which emerge from on-time delivery of parts and production statistics. Provides input to management regarding problems such as scheduling problems, material shortages, design changes and backlogs. Requirements: Associate degree, or equivalent work experience as Planner in a manufacturing environment Experience with ERP systems required. Syteline 9 system experience preferred. Understanding in Planning/Scheduling, including Materials/Inventory Control Basic understanding of engineering drawings Knowledge and Skills: Must have MRP / ERP experience Good understanding of Planning Principles and can independently use this knowledge Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel Understanding of Lean Principles in a manufacturing environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Team Player Problem Solver Experience: 2 - 5 years of experience in the Planning department of a manufacturing company Proven experience in Planner’s role Must have prior knowledge utilizing business ERP platforms Work Environment and Physical Demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
