THE POSITION

Are you looking to make a lasting impact on employees within the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs? Do you have a desire to help employees and organizations learn, grow, and succeed? The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Southeastern Veterans' Center is seeking a Human Resource Analyst 3 (General) to oversee the human resource (HR) department. You will be responsible for day-to-day HR operations while coordinating human resources functions including employee relations, workforce support, coaching, and mentorship. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will focus on overseeing the day-to-day human resource operations at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. This entails supervising staff performing human resource functions including employee relations, workforce support, and timekeeping. You will have the opportunity to c ollaborate with DMVA headquarters and/or Enterprise Office of Administration staff to provide advice and guidance to facility staff on fair and consistent application of policies and collective bargaining agreements. You will serve as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns, improve communications, and enhance overall employee satisfaction. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching new hires, current employees, managers, and supervisors, as well as providing one-on-one coaching sessions to employees, offering guidance on career development, goal setting, and skills enhancement.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 in the area of the parenthetical;or

  • One year as a Field Human Resource Officer 1, and one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical;or

  • Two years of experience in the performance of professional human resource work, including one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
