Vail Resorts Financial Reporting Manager in Pennsylvania

Job Summary:
The Financial Reporting Manager will be an integral team member of the Financial Reporting team and report to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting. This individual will play a critical role in supporting external reporting to key stakeholders, various internal and external reporting obligations, as well as supporting the month-end process (including posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and other various accounting tasks). The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, motivated individual and a self-starter who can identify opportunities, propose solutions, and drive process improvements to completion in a deadline-oriented team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other Financial Reporting team members to prepare and ensure the accuracy of publicly-issued quarterly and annual financial reports (Form 10-Q and 10-K filings) and Board of Director materials, including performing detailed tie-outs and internal controls in compliance with SOX standards.
Support the preparation and filing of Section 16 forms with the SEC (Forms 3, 4 and 5) to ensure timely and accurate reporting of insider transactions.
Assist with the administration and accounting for the company’s equity compensation plan, including annual vesting and grant procedures.
Perform the administration and accounting for the company’s leases under ASC 842.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including performing account reconciliations and posting journal entries.
Prepare monthly financial reports for certain domestic subsidiaries as required by external stakeholders.
Prepare internal financial reports for executive management, as well as other monthly variance and financial analyses to support the Financial Reporting team.
Act as a key liaison with external auditors for quarterly reviews, annual audits, and internal control testing.
Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc requests for analyses and information, as needed.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required (or demonstrated experience in lieu of education).
At least three years of experience which includes public accounting and/or financial reporting experience. Technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements preferred.
CPA preferred.
Detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
Experience with Workiva, Blackline, AMT, ShareWorks and/or PeopleSoft Financials a plus.
Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, including remote work with geographically dispersed team members.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $77,000 - $90,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
