THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an electrician at Ebensburg Center, you will perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance; repair; and installation of electrical equipment, motors, appliances, elevators, fire alarm systems, fiber optics, telecommunications, distribution and switch gear systems and other related equipment. Our Maintenance Department provides support to the individuals who live in our center and are crucial to our overall operations. You will work in a collaborative workplace where maintenance staff work together to solve complex issues. Join our team today!

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours are subject to change based on operational needs.

  • Travel and overtime may be required as operationally necessary.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (commonwealth title); or

  • Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment; or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
