THE POSITION

Are you an experienced grant management professional eager to take your career to the next level? The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is on the lookout for a qualified individual to lead its Grant Center. In this role, you will be tasked with planning, developing, coordinating, and overseeing the administrative policies and procedures. As the director of the Grant Center, you will play a crucial role in shaping the department's approach to grant management. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role involves both professional and managerial duties in supervising the programs and operations of the Grants Center within the Department of Environmental Protection, reporting directly to the Executive Deputy Secretary for Administration and Management. Your responsibilities include the planning, development, coordination, and leadership of administrative policies and procedures related to all grant and rebate programs within the department.

You will also be responsible for the formulation and execution of the department's grants management policy. This includes ensuring that all grant-related activities align with the department's strategic objectives and comply with relevant regulations and standards. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of grant programs, thereby contributing to the overall mission of the Department of Environmental Protection. This position requires a strong commitment to administrative excellence and a proactive approach to program management.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $86,299.00 (before taxes)..

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 4 (Commonwealth title);or

  • Eight years of experience in progressively responsible and varied management or staff work, including personnel management, fiscal management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university;or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
