DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of appropriate and recovery-oriented services at six state hospitals and the South Mountain Restoration Center. These services will fall under four levels of care, including general psychiatric, forensic, long-term care, and the sexual responsibility treatment program. As a leader, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and regulations to effectively manage treatment services. Additionally, you will serve as part of the OMHSAS Executive Council to formulate strategic plans and initiatives in support of the integration of hospital and community operations to achieve departmental and program office goals. In this role, you will also have direct oversight of the four regional offices within the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment (37.5 hour per week)
Work hours will range from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute or 60-minute lunch. The selected candidate may decide on a work schedule.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg or a regional state office as approved by your supervisor. You may be required to report to the Harrisburg office to attend meetings, as determined by your supervisor.
The worksite location will be determined at the time of hire based on the selected candidate’s home location.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Seven years of professional human services or health care program experience which includes four years in a mental health or residential care and treatment facility, including three years in a managerial capacity, and a bachelor’s degree; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes four years of professional human services or health care program experience in a mental health or residential care and treatment facility, including three years in a managerial capacity.
