THE POSITION

Join the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's (PLCB) Central Office Maintenance team as a Custodial Worker! In this role, you will be a key player in maintaining cleanliness and replenishing supplies in the Northwest Office Building, ensuring a welcoming space for employees and visitors alike. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker 1, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the Northwest Office Building and its surrounding facilities. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Work experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital is preferred. (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices, or public areas; mopping, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, buffing, etc.).

    Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
