DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker 1, your role is more than just about cleaning. It is about maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of our state parks. This seasonal position is crucial in preserving our visitors' environment at the Laurel Hill State Park Complex, including Laurel Hill, Kooser, and Laurel Ridge State Parks. You will undertake essential sanitation tasks, ensuring our buildings are pristine, waste and recyclable materials are properly collected, and custodial supplies are effectively managed. This position allows you the independence to manage your daily duties while occasionally working outdoors. Your supervisor will provide comprehensive guidance for any new challenges you may encounter or when there are procedure changes, empowering you to excel in your role.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal full-time employment without benefits

  • Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch

  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
