Genesis Corp dba Genesis10 Network / System Engineer in Pennington, New Jersey
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Network / System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ, Charlotte NC and Plano TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the retention, supervision and discovery of electronic communications for regulated lines of business
- Ensure application availability and performance meet or exceed the needs of our business partners
- Enable and adhere to regulatory requirements as established and enforced by various governmental regulatory bodies
- Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues and provide technical support for the business partners that use the retention and supervision platforms
- Enhance the operational procedures, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes and enhanced management reporting
- Ensure all production regulated messaging applications are performing and providing a stable platform
- Manage and support of all applications that enable compliant supervision review of electronic communications
- Deliver to all Supervision & eDiscovery users
- Implement and validate application service changes
- Maintain and support relationships with eDiscovery and Legal teams to make sure business strategies are consistently met
- Ensure that business partner priorities are identified, implement and communicate as it pertains to Supervision policy management
- Interface with EC Compliance to ensure adherence to compliance requirements via technical controls and reporting
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teammates
- Collaborate with vendors and outside technical support teams
- Manage workloads based on priority and urgency
- Create and maintain knowledge based and procedural documentation
- 3 or more years of working in a technical operations role
- Strong working knowledge of ITIL standards and practices
- Proven problem solving skills
- Proven analytical skills
- Proven communication skills on a technical and non-technical level
- Proven process documentation skills
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and internet browsers
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting
- Able to participate with on-call support rotations
- Exposure to electronic communications retention and supervision
- Exposure to regulatory compliance rules and regulations
- Experience with automation of recurring processes
- SQL Scripting
- PowerShell Scripting
- Technical Certifications (ITIL, Microsoft, Network)
- Technical Writing
