Genesis Corp dba Genesis10 IT Security Specialist in Pennington, New Jersey
Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for advising current SMEs how to go forward on challenges in transforming current mainframe applications (data transformation, dependencies, and routine handling)
- Authors ad hoc raw reports or analytics from ETL'ed data using Tableau
- Responsible for handling the deployment of the applications utilizing the Bank's deployment teams and ensure that all issues are resolved and certified in a timely manner
- Responsible for providing security expertise
- Provide baseline security standards and policies for multiple projects of very high complexity or very high visibility
- Identify potential threats and risks and making recommendations to prevent these issues
- Support applications that have been deployed
- Accountable for enabling secure environments (processes and technologies) for the business and technology groups
- Utilize technical and business knowledge to design and implement secure, risk-based solutions, exercising judgment within broadly defined practices and policies
Requirements:
- 7+ years of extensive experience working in DataStage who has actually implemented those DataStage processes in production
- Experience transforming legacy mainframe jobs using DataStage
- Ability to read JCLs and COBOL programs
- Familiar interfacing DataStage processes using 3rd party java utilities, web services and Rest APIs
- Experience in presenting data points through Tableau analytics
- Skillful in scheduling and handling exception of jobs running Autosys (that is running DataStage processes)
- Strong understanding of Git version control, CI/CD and ability to work in an agile and fast paced environment
- High-level understanding of security along with technical security background (including some architecture experience)
- Very good communication and problem-solving skills
- Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units, at various levels
- 10 + years' experience
- In-depth information security expertise
- Information Technology or risk management experience
- Mastery with information security topics, including the design, development, implementation or governance of information security solutions
- Knowledge to design and implement secure, risk-based solutions, exercising judgment within broadly defined practices and policies
