Adecco together with a SBA award winning, small, family owned, Federal Construction Business operating for 25 + years is looking for an Senior Account Clerk to join their dynamic team.

Essential Job Functions for an Senior Account Clerk:

  • Reconcile bank Accounts and credit card accounts.

  • Assist in gathering and providing data for external financial and tax audit examination process.

  • Manage A/R and A/P.

  • Management of the Sales and Use Tax Accounting and reporting process.

  • Assist in the implementation of general accounting process improvement objectives.

  • Purchase Order; creation, tracking and billing.

  • Maintain electronic and paper payroll records with policies and procedures.

  • Document and update procedure manuals; recommend improvements to procedures in order to improve controls, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Answering phone calls.

  • Work with CEO and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely completion and submit of reports and other documentation.

  • Certified Payroll Processing a PLUS.

  • 401 k Processing.

  • ADP Payroll Processing.

  • Project Cost Accounting.

  • Manage Multiple entities.

Senior Account Clerk Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

  • Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.

  • Ability to interface professionally with various vendors, peers, and government agencies.

  • Professional effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously; set priorities and plan work to meet deadlines.

  • Self-starter capable of independent work.

  • Ability to have fun on the job and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Physical requirements: Navigate one flight of stairs.

Qualifications:

  • Requires High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 5+ years working in accounting functions.

  • Strong Organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be proficient with QuickBooks, MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Mail/Calendar) and Adobe.

F/T

Hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience. Starting at $22.00 an hour

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
