Description Logistics Manager (TWRPEARL-21-0557-F):
Bowhead seeks a Logistics Manager to support Government Furnished Inventory, Equipment and Material Management at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam Hawaii (JBPHH) directly supporting the Naval Submarine Support Commands (NSSC) contractor operated Torpedo Weapons Retriever Program. Perform day-to-day parts research, obtaining quotes, ordering, receiving, inventorying following established guidelines. In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from a supervisor or other officials. May direct and coordinate other workers' activities in handling material to be shipped or being received. Additional activities are assisting with the development of Depot Level repair packages and administering the Navy's 3-M program as it applies to the 3 Torpedo Retrievers homeported at JBPHH.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents
• Soliciting and collecting quotes for parts and supplies
• Receiving, recording, and tracking the use of hazardous chemicals such as motor oils, coolant, lubricants, etc. administering the Oil Analysis shipping program.
• Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading
• Processing worn out or unneeded equipment for processing by Navy Disposition Services such as DRMO. Must have the ability to visually inspect the equipment and record information to start the administrative process
• Maintain the 3-M Schedule. Keep concise documentation on vessel repairs, maintaining the vessel history logs. Helping the On-site Manager, Engineers and Port Engineer write Depot Level shipyard repair packages.
• Ensures that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent PLUS a minimum of Three (3) years direct related experience or a combination of education and experience
• Must be able to operate a forklift
Must possess a strong desire to provide excellent customer service solutions and interact with coworkers and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Must be motivated to perform other duties as assigned
* Experience with the Navy 3-M system is greatly desired.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
