Responsibilities You will be responsible for the implementation of the quality system for environmental data collection and management. You will evaluate and interpret environmental guidelines, criteria, regulations, and laws to ensure compliance. You will investigate hazardous waste disposal sites, assess environmental impact and initiate cleanup. You will serve as technical coordinator and project manager for command critical, high-risk projects. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develop/prepare a Quality Management Plan; 2) Leads and conducts quality system audits; 3) Prepare statements of work and estimates for environmental and munitions work; 4) Communicate complex environmental quality assessments with stakeholders; 5) Serve as technical authority for investigating and cleaning up hazardous waste sites. This information must be documented in your resume. In addition to the above requirement, Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist registration required as applicable. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
