Summary You will serve as an Industrial Equipment Mechanic in the Fuels Department, Maintenance Division of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH). Responsibilities You will inspect systems for leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and inoperable components in units such as distribution lines, barges, storage tanks, and various types of valves and pumps. You will install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, such as sandblasting machines, tank level indicators, portable pumps, portable generators, air compressors, steam cleaners, and other non-production machinery and equipment You will set-up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill pressers, and grinders to manufacture component parts or re-machine existing parts such as bushings, bearings, seals, couplings, and pistons. You will perform hydrostatic testing using fuel or water to conduct structural integrity tests or calibration of instruments Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
