Wencor Group Llc Senior Product Manager in PEACHTREE CITY, Georgia
Overview of the Position:
The Senior Product Manager owns, develops, and executes strategy and road map for a specific product line. He/she is the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology, and the competition and will lead the planning, delivery, and in-life optimization of products within a designated product line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and own the product roadmap based on input from internal stakeholders, customers, vendor partners, and market research
Provide strategic and tactical direction for product lines assigned
Collate feedback from sales, customers, and the market to map product life and replacement cycles
Coordinate with marketing to plan and carry out product launches and campaigns
Support sales representatives with proposals, technical documentation, and training
Manage product line profitability and commercial success through market analysis, opportunity identification, competitive assessments, and investment pursuits
Coordinate with sales representatives on opportunity pursuits and development opportunities
Provide insight to stakeholders on the product and market
Collaborate with key vendor partners to establish growth and go-to-market launch plans
Lead investment analysis and provide recommendations to supply chain
Conduct research in product categories to identify portfolio expansion opportunities
Develop a revenue and profit forecast based on input from sales and market analysis
Report progress and status of projects, product lines, and other assigned tasks
Coordinate travel with vendor partners and/or sales representatives assisting with technical sales presentations and identifying new development opportunities
Mentor and educate other team members on best practices

Should also have a very high business and marketing acumen

Strong analytical skills; ability to manage data and develop insights
Exceptional communication skills: Speaking, writing, and presentation
Organizational skills and ability to work independently
Must be detailed-oriented and focused on results
Strong database, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint skills
Project Management or Program Management experience a plus
Aerospace or Airline experience a plus
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marketing, or related degree with three years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Marketing or Product Management experience is required. Aviation industry & technical sales experience preferred.
