Are you a Jr. Accountant looking to elevate your career? Randstad is seeking a qualified candidate for a customer in Fayette County that has experience preferably in the construction industry or similar field. You must have worked with projects and be very familiar with the Cost of Completion cycle of accounting.
This position will be PART TIME in a small, family environment so a cultural fit is very important.

salary: $30 - $34 per hour
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors Degree preferred
Responsibilities
Experience in the construction industry or with Project Accounting
Full understanding of the Cost to Complete
Post and process journal entries for accurate recording of business transactions
Maintain and update accounts receivable, issuing invoices promptly
Manage accounts payable and conduct monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
Timely update financial data to ensure accuracy
Provide auditors with assistance and gather necessary account information for annual audits
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Adhere to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
Contribute to month-end and year-end closings
Generate 1099's
Skills
cost to complete (2 years of experience is required)
Accounting (5 years of experience is required)
MS Excel (5 years of experience is required)
Contruction Accounting (2 years of experience is preferred)
Project Accounting (2 years of experience is preferred)
