Job Description:

  • This requisition is contingent upon L3Harris winning the Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Services in Support of Presidential Helicopter contract. contract.

  • The anticipated date of Contract Award is March 2025 with an anticipated start date of March 2025 .

  • The location for the performance of this program is Patuxent River, MD. Employee must be located on site.

  • Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor and is responsible for managing two or more of the following activities related to operations: manufacturing, production planning, manufacturing engineering, test, quality, or shipping/receiving/stores. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

    Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the overall operations of the contractor maintenance team performing assigned scope, including long term and short term plans for aircraft maintenance, modifications and test support.

  • Requires extensive technical knowledge of aircraft, machinery, facilities, and equipment.

  • Requires a strong electrical, hydraulic and mechanical aircraft knowledge, including personal knowledge of computers.

  • Extensive knowledge of the NAVAIRINST 3710.1 series and CNAFINST 4790.2 series documents.

  • Robust mechanical aptitude in order to offer technical direction in all maintenance areas.

  • Knowledgeable of basic supply procedures.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years within last 15 years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification. Of the 10 years experience in aircraft maintenance, 6 years shall have been in a supervisory position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts.

  • Must have experience supporting IPTs and ITTs.

  • Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance in accordance with the NISPOM codifying 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM Rule.

  • Must be able to satisfy personnel security requirements for Yankee White access in accordance with the DoD Directive 5210.55 (Presidential Support Program) and DoD Instruction 5210.87 (Selection of DoD Military and Civilian Personnel and Contractor Employees for Assignment to Presidential Support Activities). A government requisite pre-screening checklist will be requested from all applicants considered.

  • Rotary Wing Experience required. S-92 or VH-92 experience preferred.

  • Must be able to travel. Work will be performed at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD, with occasional performance at Quantico and Anacostia, VA, and/or global sites for emergent requirements.
