Senior Program Manager, PMA-231
KBR is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to join our team in support of PMA -231. This position supports the NAVAIR PMA-231 Advanced Hawkeye Command and Control platform office and will be based out of Patuxent River, MD. The successful candidate will work across all engineering disciplines supporting fielded aircraft as part of the In Service IPT.
Role and Responsibilities:
Provides engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements.
Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques.
Specific tasking will include but is not limited to:
Assists in the technical planning of work across all engineering disciplines supporting the In Service IPT at the direction of the In-Service Systems Engineer.
Review and coordination of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) inputs / provide recommendations for approval.
Review and coordination of flight clearance requirements identification and approvals.
Assist in the development of test planning documentation.
Administration of the Joint Deficiency Review Board process (multiple classification levels) :
Action tracking and coordination with the engineering teams
Coordination of JRB agenda with NGC / Coordination of JRB attendance with the engineering team
Management of JRB documentation
Hosting the JRB meeting with NGC
Horizontal and vertical integration and management of work across all applicable engineering departments, disciplines and specialties including Air Vehicle, Propulsion and Power, Avionics, Human Systems, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Interoperability and System Security Engineering.
Basic Qualifications:
Required Education:
MA/MS degree
OR
BA/BS + 2 extra years
OR
Associates +4 extra years
Required Experience:
10 years performing duties described in posted Role and Responsibilities listed above.
Must exhibit expert level commination skills as this role involves comminating to senior levels of leadership, internal and external to KBR.
Must be able to assess, apply, and recommend improvements to established business processes; and can balance priorities to work effectively in the fast-paced program office environment.
Must be highly proficient Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Project & Outlook).
Must be a self-starter and be able to lead meetings.
An active secret level security clearance is required. Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance in a timely manner.
