Responsibilities You will collaborate with program managers to formulate short-term and long-range program plans. You will analyze management information requirements to develop and maintain a management information reporting system sufficient in scope to serve as a reference source for briefing program officials. You will translate program objectives into necessary contracts, contractor support, procurements, and field activity tasking required to implement the program. You will assure that material procurements and services are in accordance with approved plans, agreements and contracts. You will perform budget administration work, advising on the time-phasing of budget plans, developing and coordinating budgetary actions in the execution phases, assuring that funds are used on a timely basis where needed to accomplish program goals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-13 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, and proposing options and alternatives. For the GS-12 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing and analyzing higher level procurement policies; 3) Providing analytical support for the management of project/program requirements, objectives, and metrics; and 4) Incorporating process improvements and best practices. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
