Logistics Analyst Journeyman

Bowhead is actively recruiting for a Logistics Analyst Journeyman to support Capabilities Development IPT within the Navy and Marine Corps Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office in support of the PMA-263 contract at NAS Patuxent River, MD.

Responsibilities

The Logistics Analyst Journeyman will provide support to the logistics manager by:

• Providing recommendations on supportability concept development, design considerations for the support concept, and development assistance for ILS programs.

• Developing and updating maintenance program plans, providing information required to prepare/analyze/route technical reports, and recommending options for improvement of the weapons system logistics and maintenance cycles.

• Developing maintenance cost planning, budget projections, and program health assessments.

• Developing, preparing, and updating input to maintenance program briefs and technical reports to ensure data is accurate and consistent with approved plans, as well as key program events.

• Reviewing and analyzing funding execution status for all maintenance programs.

• Providing recommendations for logistics and training requirements assessment and validation. Providing plans for maintenance engineering and logistics supportability efforts.

• Recommending methodologies to determine suitability and maturity of system and equipment designs. Analyzing their current or potential impact upon logistic supportability.

Other responsibilities include:

• Collecting, compiling and analyzing project cost, schedule and performance data for logistics support for incorporation into team work plans, data calls, and supporting financial documentation.

• Providing support, execution and tracking of equipment and systems in support of deliveries.

• Monitoring all logistic support of deployed assets.

• Analyzing, monitoring, and reporting Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material supply (DMSMS) items.

• Responsible for initiating the documentation for the movement and transfer of materials for United States Marine Corp and Navy.

• Providing material management support to ensure all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Government Furnished Property (GFP)/Government Owned Material (GOM) contractual dates are met. Interface with commercial vendors, track repairs and funding, note deficiencies to IPT lead, monitor and prioritize repair workload, and address/resolve support equipment issues.

• Working knowledge within Navy Enterprise Resource Planning Program (ERP) to process Mil-strips and goods receipts.

• Acts as a liaison between the Business Financial Manager and Comptroller to reconcile Fleet order discrepancies.

• Other duties as directed by Assistant Program Manager for Logistics.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• BA/BS degree with 3 to 10 years of relevant logistics experience.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Preferred background/experience:A minimum of three years Supply Support for DOD,Navy-ERP Experience, prior military and career field logistics training, level II

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
