Purpose of Role

We are looking for an experienced Manager, Visual Merchandising to spearhead Go-to-Market strategies in Thailand, ensuring top-tier retail and visual merchandising execution, maximizing return on investment, and overseeing the development of both new and existing stores.

Your Impact

Visual Merchandising

  • Drive and develop excellent standards of visual merchandising, including designing store themes, creating visual annual calendar, and executing displays and visual strategies.

  • Train and lead team members on brand standards, creating store concepts for seasonal turnover and new store openings, and ensuring consistency of brand theme across all branches.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Merchandising, Marketing, and other relevant teams, during product launches and theme development.

  • Develop design themes aligned with the marketing calendar, integrating window displays, signage, in-store displays, and department focal points. Additionally, source and acquire props, fabrics, hardware, and lighting.

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop visual strategies and promotional events that captivate, engage, and sustain the interest of the target audience.

  • Create visual merchandising packs and calendar to communicate visual guidelines to VM team, including layout principles, visual dressings, techniques, etc.

  • Ensure brand branches have similar themes and displays every visual turnover.

  • Develop and maintain budgeted calendar for visual materials.

  • Conduct research on current and future trends in design and lifestyle, and associated target market features.

  • Visit branches to coach in-store visual techniques and train both sales staff and VM team on the guidelines and execution of the visual concept.

  • Assess and dismantle visual displays in windows and in-store.

  • Determine floor layout, traffic flow, and display points, as well product identification with respect to current theme and complimentary of products.

  • Seek feedback from colleagues and customers on the visual impact of displays and implement any necessary changes.

Store Design & Development and Project Management

  • Overall Project Management; Vendor Selection, Timeline Management, Capex budget Control.

  • Review and execute creative opportunities for all New Store Opening / Projects

  • Ensure store is regularly maintained to uphold premium brand experience.

  • Coordinate with mall management and contractors at all stages of construction and maintenance, working closely with the builder or general contractor. Additionally, maintain detailed records and gather payment data to accurately monitor monthly expenses.

  • Perform price comparisons and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable rates while maintaining control over the Capex budget.

  • To lead and motivate team members to complete displays with high quality standards and within target deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, interior design, retail management or related field preferred

  • At least 7 years’ experience in visual merchandising with a retail business background

  • 1 or more years of supervisory or management experience included

  • Comprehensive portfolio of relevant visual design work and store development work.

  • Strong product knowledge and VM display / standard

  • Proficient in Microsoft office, Illustrator, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign basic are preferred.

  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and stakeholder management skills to secure full commitment from key partners.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and creativity to deliver carefully considered solutions.

  • Possessing strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively while thriving under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Thailand, Bangkok office.
