Job Overview

Responsible for performing a variety of billing functions to minimize accounts receivable and enhance collection. Works in a timely and courteous manner when responding to patients, physicians or insurance companies inquiries. Serves as a resource person for ALL department staff on questions regarding billing and claims issues.

Qualifications

Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and up to one year of basic technical training in health care billing/customer service and three to six months of previous experience plus three months or less of on the job training and orientation. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
