Robert Half Billing Clerk in Pasadena, Texas

Description

We are offering a PART-TIME contract to permanent employment opportunity for a meticulous and systematic Billing Clerk in the manufacturing industry, located in Pasadena, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing credit-related tasks, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving credit inquiries. You will also oversee customer credit accounts and take appropriate steps to manage delinquent payments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work closely with internal staff to resolve any project related issues and concerns. (Billings, closing dates, change orders/deducts, trailing cost, etc.).

· Work within existing ERP system to accurately book customer projects, track warranty project completion dates, and ensure proper closure of both.

· Manage subcontract process, including collection and execution of subcontracts, subcontract lien waivers, and resolution of open payables issues.

· Create SOV's and generate accurate AIA invoices monthly per customer invoicing schedules.

· Work with customers and collections department for collecting payments and resolving disputes.

· Works under moderate supervision to perform clerical activities; responds to moderately complex email and phone inquiries.

· Oversee OCIP/CCIP process, as well as timesheet/payroll submittal through MSD and assist in prevailing wage/ Davis Bacon requirements.

· Verifies data entry and monitors the maintenance of records.

· Maintain and update information in customer and vendor files up to and including address changes, pricing, products, delivery instructions, or other customer notes as needed.

Requirements • Minimum 3 years of experience in a billing clerk role or similar position in the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in billing collection and construction accounting

• Knowledge and experience in construction and commercial collections

• Familiarity with Dynamics software

• Excellent numeracy and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors

• High degree of accuracy in handling accounts and figures

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.
