Amazon Principal Solutions Architect, GenAI/ML - WWSO Data & AI GTM SA Team in Pasadena, California

Description

As Principal Solution Architect, GenAI/ML, you will be responsible for supporting adoption and utilization of Amazon Web Services (AWS) GenAI/ML services for customers in North America across one or more industries.

You will be responsible for helping customers with their GenAI/ML applications by understanding their requirements, designing GenAI/ML solutions, conducting proof of concepts, and remove blockers for AWS service adoption.

You will gather customer and industry needs and partner with AWS product teams to innovate, develop, and deliver AWS solutions that can be applied at scale to many customers.

You will collaborate with your Sales and Go to Market counterparts to influence GTM strategies and sales plays for new or existing services;

You will partner with internal product teams and account managers to win strategic customer workloads and drive business revenue.

You will work on thought leadership, create reusable assets and demos to help customers adopt AWS services at scale.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent

  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications

  • Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing

  • At least 3 years of experience in Machine Learning with knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning. Experience with Amazon SageMaker of similar products is needed. Understanding of various algorithms like decision trees, random forests, etc; Model evaluation; Understanding of architectures like CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and transformer models. Good understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and Amazon Bedrock.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent

  • Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent

  • Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent

  • Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
