Robert Half Family Law Paralegal in Pasadena, California
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Family Law Paralegal, based in Pasadena, California. This role primarily focuses on supporting attorneys in various aspects of Family Law, with a key emphasis on discovery and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize case management software to keep track of case progress
• Assist in the production and preparation of discovery, ensuring all stages of trial are adequately catered for
• Leverage CompuLaw for efficient management of legal cases
• Maintain open and effective communication lines with all relevant parties
• Perform billing functions accurately and timely
• Prepare briefing documents as required
• Manage calendar effectively, ensuring all appointments and deadlines are met
• Use your Family Law knowledge and experience to support attorneys and clients
• Handle discovery requests and responses in a detail oriented and timely manner
• Oversee document production, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Requirements • Proficient in Case Management Software to effectively manage and organize case files.
• Familiarity with CompuLaw software for better tracking of deadlines and schedules.
• Capable of handling Billing Functions, including invoice preparation and tracking payments.
• Experience in Briefing to succinctly summarize case details for attorneys.
• Proficient in Calendar Management to schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings.
• Excellent Communication skills to liaise with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
• Sound knowledge of Family Law, including divorce, child custody, and alimony cases.
• Experience in Discovery process to gather evidence and information for case preparation.
• Ability to manage Discovery Requests, including drafting, reviewing, and submitting requests.
• Experience in handling Discovery Responses, including preparing responses and organizing received information.
• Proficient in Document Production, including drafting, reviewing, and finalizing legal documents.
