The Job

As a member of the AVEVA Presales team, you will be responsible for providing a critical solution, technical, and industry knowledge to help support, generate, and develop new sales opportunities both indirect, through our channel partners and direct with AVEVA sales. You will deliver value to our customers, secure revenue growth, and grow AVEVA customer trust.

The Senior Solutions Consultant - Operations Contr ol & UOC plays a key role in contributing to the growth of the AVEVA business by providing outstanding technical sales and consultancy support for AVEVA solutions and/or other supported client software. The job is primarily customer-facing (partners and clients) and requires the desired balance of professional presales skills, technology application to solve operational user requirements, enablement training skills capabilities and industry knowledge of our served market.

Responsibilities:

  • Enable sales growth direct and through the AVEVA distribution channel.

  • Transfer product and domain knowledge to the AVEVA distribution channel and systems integration community.

  • Communicating the value proposition of our solutions to prospects or partners, at presentations, industry events and seminars.

  • Contributing to the planning, creation, development, and delivery of demonstrations and content that prove the value of our solutions.

  • Animating the Community of Practice related to area of expertise.

  • Engaging with prospects to understand specific needs/problems and lead/contribute to the development of appropriate technical solutions.

  • Contributing to the planning, creation, organizing and execution of Proof of Capability presentations and demonstrations to prospects that “prove and confirm” the value of our technical solution to their specific needs/problems.

  • Work alone or with development staff to hands-on develop and present demo applications.

  • This position will require travel, at times with short notice, to an AVEVA office, distribution channel office, or customer location, anywhere in the region.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline

  • Typically, 5 years' experience with AVEVA products for plant operations, and 5 years' experience in a technical sales, Presales or business development role.

  • Significant practical experience of the implementation of SCADA or MES solutions with customers.

  • Takes personal responsibility for ensuring customer concerns are solved.

  • Builds working relationships with peers and with members of other teams.

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team.

  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate the needs/problems of prospective customers.

  • The ability to effectively self-manage and handle multiple and possibly competing commitments simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: English and local language, + French preferred.
