Strategic Development Lead (Western Europe & Israel)

This is a senior role within the Western Europe & Israel (WE&I) Local sales team and is focused on strategic development activities to drive the following outcomes:

— Higher win rate, by improving knowledge of the CBRE offering and value proposition, and training and teams across each of the Sales Steps to Success, ultimately improving cultivation and bidding skills

— Improving efficiency, quality and shared best practice, by creating new and improved sales content and tools, and embedding effective processes and governance into the sales process and country/divisional teams

— Engagement and talent retention, through connectivity, improved community and culture across the bid management and sales teams, supporting recruitment and career development of the bid management roles

— Improved market impact and brand presence by working with country, divisional or BU teams on events, thought leadership, social media, awards submissions and any other initiatives that support improving market impact

The Strategic Development Lead drives the business to improve knowledge and understanding of the CBRE offering and our value proposition, whilst simultaneously working with Sales Directors and Bid Managers to train and advance sales team skills of the Sales Steps to Success.

A key focus is to improve win rate by working closely with and training Bid Managers and Business Unit Sales Coordinators (BUSCs) to produce high quality, high scoring, creative and customer focused proposals, presentations and workshop materials.

This role owns and operates a strong and effective bid management community, where Bid Managers and BUSCs connect regularly, learn, collaborate and share best practice, thus driving shared knowledge, innovation, best practice and consistency to improve the quality, content and creativity of client facing sales materials.

Strong stakeholder management, strategic planning and implementation skills are required and a keen understanding of commercial drivers. Success in this role rests on the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Engagement and talent retention, through connectivity, improved community and culture across the bid management and sales teams and career development of the bid management roles

• Improve market impact and brand presence by working with country, divisional or BU teams on events, thought leadership, social media, awards submissions and any other supporting initiatives

• Develop reporting metrics to measure success of the Strategic Development and Bid Management function within your region

• Present at WE&I Sales Conference and other meetings, regular attendance at sales MMM/MEM, weekly/monthly Sales Director meeting and monthly Strategic Development meetings

Person Specification

• Able to influence others and engender confidence. Be proactive and able to prioritise demands and make decisions under pressure; work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; provide support to other areas of the business and be self-sufficient and be able to work on your own as well as in a team

• Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the requirements of customers

• Ability to communicate effectively with CBRE stakeholders and suppliers across all levels

• Excellent Microsoft 360 skills, SharePoint, InDesign, SmartSheet and Salesforce beneficial

• Ability to plan ahead, managing multiple deadlines across multiple stakeholders
