France Labor Relations Director / Works Council Director – Paris

To strengthen our Global Labour Relations team, we are looking for a Labour Relation Director for France. Reporting to the EMEA Labour Relations Leader, the Labour Relations Director (or Works Council Director) will ensure company delivery for all Unions and Works Council obligations within the French market.

This position will also be tasked with:

  • Corporate projects / matters (labour relations decisions like reductions in force)

  • Local projects / matters required by local laws / yearly legal changes and subject to fines if not completed on time, including:

  • Mandatory annual negotiations (Salary, working conditions, male/female equity, WC elections…)

  • Mandatory consultations (quarterly results, annual social reviews, annual training reviews, Health & Safety meetings, whistleblowing in EU, wellbeing, strategic orientations in France, implementation of new local laws, offices move, WC subsidies)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead employee relations matters in a specific country (or region), through effective partnerships with all stakeholders, including Global Business Services, Legal, and external third parties.

  • Regularly evaluate/implement policies and guidelines in partnership with stakeholders to ensure compliance with Xerox’s Code of Business Conduct and local/country labour law.

  • Leverage data and insights to proactively drive changes.

  • Lead HR change management initiatives related to organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transformations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an experienced labour relations professional possessing both technical skills and creativity while using active labour law knowledge. Our new colleague is a quick thinker who can adapt to a highly competitive and dynamic technology industry.

  • At least 10 years experience in labour relations within the French market

  • Detailed knowledge of labour laws within the French market and broader EMEA region

  • Able to gain credibility with local authorities and regulators.

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Project management experience

  • Senior stakeholder management skills

  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Must be able to speak both French and English

Location : This role will be based out of the Xerox Paris Asnières-sur-Seine office.
