Job Title: Head Coach - Football Job Family: Classified - Seasonal Department: Grand Valley Middle School Typical Work Year: Fall 2024-2025 FLSA Status: Exempt Job ID#: 1303

Grand Valley Middle School is seeking applications of candidates for Head Football Coach for Fall 2024. This is a part-time, seasonal, salaried position located in Parachute, CO. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Responsibilities include: 1. Assist in effective operation and management of the football program which would include, but not limited to: planning, organizing, budgeting, safety and promoting the Grand Valley Middle School football team, Activities Department and CHSAA. 2. Demonstrate productive coaching strategies, skills, knowledge of football (both offensive and defensive position groups). 3. Establish solid communication and build quality relationships with student participants, parents and the community in general. 4. To assist the student athlete in the areas of academic excellence, eligibility and provide an atmosphere of personal growth. 5. A genuine commitment and work ethic to Grand Valley Middle School philosophies, students, staff, and surrounding community.

Desired qualifications: 1. One to three years of football coaching experience. 2. Skills related to coaching, teaching, recruiting, and mentoring athletes. 3. Knowledge of CHSAA rules and regulations. 4. Knowledge and management of sports related injuries.

Required qualifications: 1. Must possess or be willing to gain CHSAA coaching certification. 2. Must have a current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. 3. Must have Concussion certification from the NFHS. 4. Must complete school district small vehicle training.
