DanceLine in Paoli, PA is looking for one DanceLine Associate to join our 5-person strong part time team with 4 student associates. DanceLine located on 30 W Lancaster Ave in Paoli, PA.  Our ideal candidate is pleasant, customer focused, and hard-working.

Responsible for more than just ringing up customer purchases, DanceLine Associates ensure that the store is well-maintained and stocked throughout the shift. In addition, this position also requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to be able to connect with fellow associates from other shifts and to acquire, cultivate and maintain relationships with our customers through deep product knowledge, personal engagement, and friendly customer service.

As a DanceLine Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring that customers have a pleasant shopping experience while visiting our store. From greeting them as they arrive to assisting them with locating merchandise and studio requirements, you take a hands-on approach to keeping them satisfied. In addition, you will also be expected to help with other tasks like restocking and cleaning. The main responsibilities of this position include:

• Greeting customers as they arrive and thanking them for their patronage.
• Helping customers locate merchandise and studio requirements.
• Fitting dance shoes from ballet, tap, jazz, modern/lyrical, character, ballroom and pointe shoes.
• Providing relevant product, studio and special-order information to customers.
• Stocking merchandise and ensuring your workstation is well maintained; notifying replacement needs and suggesting products from customer or studio intelligence.
• Working to resolve customer complaints and involving co-workers and manager if needed.
• Answering telephone calls and making telephone calls.
• Creating, communicating, and working with special orders.
• Provisioning products for our online sales pickup in store and mail.
• Accurately processing all cash, credit, gift card and online sales.
• Cleaning and straightening store as needed to maintain a tidy environment returning items to place, checking rack and back room, dusting and vacuuming.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and create orders
• Experienced or not afraid of computer use that includes apps, store inventory, office tools (spreadsheets, word, brochures and social media marketing)

• Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

   

DanceLine Associate Working Hours

The DanceLine Associate is hourly  and flexible with hours ranging from 4 - 40 hours each week. This job presents as flexible.

During peak business periods like late August through September and late May to early June, overtime is often offered.

DanceLine Associate Work Environment

The key thing to remember about the work environment as a DanceLine associate is that you will always be working with people. This includes both fellow associates and customers in your daily interactions. For this reason, strong people skills are necessary for this position.

In addition, you may be on your feet for long periods of time and will be walking regularly. There is also some repetitive movement relating to folding and putting away merchandise as well. You should also have a basic working knowledge of computers to work the store cash register system.
