Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing is a critical leadership role that oversees the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality patient care services. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for leading nursing practice, managing nursing staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nursing strategic plans aligned with the organization\'s mission, vision, and values.
- Lead nursing practice, ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Manage and develop nursing leadership, including recruitment, selection, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes nursing excellence, staff engagement, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care services, improve outcomes, and enhance the patient experience.
- Oversee nursing operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives using data and evidence-based practice to advance nursing care.
- Advise organizational leadership on nursing matters, contributing to strategic decision-making and policy development.
- Represent the organization in professional and community forums, promoting its reputation and interests.
- Primarily works in an office setting, with frequent rounding in patient care areas.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work for meetings or operational needs.
- Must be able to travel for professional development or system meetings as required.

Personal Protective Equipment:
Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Required License(s)/Certification(s):
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the State Board of Nursing in State in which site is located or licensed in a compact licensure state provides a multistate license that allows nurses to practice with patients across state lines.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Education/Experience/Qualification:
- Master\'s degree in Nursing or a related field; Doctoral degree preferred.
- Current RN licensure in good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including director-level roles.
- Proven track record in leading nursing practice, staff management, and quality improvement.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare trends, regulations, and standards of nursing practice.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate others, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Experience and knowledge of The Joint Commission and other regulatory.
