Job Summary:

Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Lynn Haven, Florida. In this role, you will coordinate, organize and supervise production process methods and engineering activities that enable production. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology

  • Assumes responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting/ Assumes responsibility for Plant VA/VE Savings.

  • Work with EHS to ensures equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulations

  • Drives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA,), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering

  • Manages, develops and improves manufacturing standards including machine capability, tooling, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.

  • Serve as a resource for cause / effect analyses, investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning

Qualifications:

  • BS Engineering or Engineering Technologies degree, or 5+ years of demonstrated experience

  • Previous manufacturing experience required, preferably in an assembly environment.

  • Ability to quickly assess manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancing.

  • Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment/processes

  • This role has been classified as a safety sensitive role.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $110,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
