Description
ARA is seeking a Junior Accounting Specialist to assist account managers with various accounting functions. Position is full-time and is located in Panama City, Florida.
Job duties include:
Performing general accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset reconciliation.
Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information.
Reviews project activity and reports on variances.
Corresponds with other departments to ensure proper accounting for revenue, purchases, and expenses.
Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing of policies and procedures.
Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
Required Skills/Experience:
Associate's Degree with minimum 5 years of accounting experience or Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of previous accounting experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Previous experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices and procedures.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with a considerable amount of judgement and initiative.
