SUMMARY

SAPs Globalization Product Management (GPM) group proactively manages the globalization of SAPs product offerings. We enable SAPs customers to continuously run a global solution according to their local/country-specific needs.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAP Localization Product Manager to join our dynamic team.

As a Localization Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing SAP HCM solutions to ensure they meet the complex legislative and policy requirements of the US, with a special focus on Payroll and Time Management processes. Based in Palo Alto, CA, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, consultants, and sales teams, to ensure the successful delivery of localized SAP solutions, enhanced with embedded AI, that meet the unique needs of SAP customers.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Localization Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive localization strategy for SAP HCM products in the United States, with a specific focus on Payroll and Time Management processes. Identify market trends, regulatory changes, and opportunities to leverage AI to drive the development and enhancement of localized solutions.

  • Product Development: Work closely with global development teams to define product requirements and prioritize feature enhancements based on customer feedback and market demands.

  • Collaborate with global product management teams to ensure alignment with overall product roadmap and localization requirements. Assist our development teams during the testing of new localizations, ensuring the quality of deliverables to our customers.

  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their localization needs and gather feedback on existing solutions. Conduct regular meetings with customers and user groups to gather requirements and validate product enhancements. Manage customer incidents when required, serve as a connection for key global customers, upholding excellent customer relations and offering local product expertise.

  • Project Management: Lead localization projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, milestones, and resource requirements. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes. Support the roll-out of localization initiatives through various channels, such as customer newsletters, demos, blogs, and webinars.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with United States regulatory requirements related to HCM. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that localized solutions adhere to all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to provide product expertise and support during pre-sales activities. Conduct product demonstrations, create sales collateral, and participate in customer meetings to showcase the value of localized SAP solutions.

  • Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and documentation to support the successful adoption of localized solutions. Conduct training sessions for internal teams and customers to ensure effective product utilization.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years in the SAP ecosystem, ideally in product management, consulting, pre-sales, solution advisory, software development, or AI.

  • A least 5 years of professional experience in HCM. Comprehensive knowledge of US Payroll and Time Management processes, legislation, and local market needs. Familiarity with SAP Payroll for Non-Profit Organizations and Canada would be beneficial.

  • A strong customer focus and a business process-driven mindset. Proven ability to manage expectations of different stakeholder communities.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamworking skills.

  • Experience working in globally distributed organizations.

  • Ready to learn about and apply AI opportunities in HCM scenarios

Compensation Range Transparency : SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 166700 - 283400(USD) USD.The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills,experience, scope ofthe role, location, etc. as determinedthrough theselection process.
