VMware Product Management/Developer Advocate – Container Networking NSX in Palo Alto, California

VMware is looking for Product Manager/Developer Advocate to join our NSX Product Management team. You will be working on VMware NSX which is the industry leading network virtualization and security product for on-premise and the public cloud.

You’ll be part of an amazing and highly collaborative Product Management team that is very inclusive, innovative and thrives on being highly customer focused. You will learn a lot, have a lot of fun in our fast-paced startup like environment and have an opportunity to wear multiple hats and make real impact for our thousands of customers.

As our product manager for Container Networking, you will be responsible for our enterprise as well as Open Source strategy. You will craft the messaging and the positioning for our Container Networking and Policy offering and will be responsible for product definition, product advocacy and building out the community . The ideal candidate would help exponentially grow our engagement with the community, increase of our footprint in the industry, and adoption of our products and services. The role will be highly technical and will entail working closely with engineering, the field and the community.


  • 10+ years work experience in datacenter Networking and Operations

  • Experience in Open-Source and Developer Advocacy

  • Experience in Container Networking/Network Policy

  • Ability to collaborate with peer product managers, engineers and the field

  • Ability to travel/speak at conferences and customers to evangelize NSX

  • Experience in a customer facing or product role
