JPMorgan Chase Lead Software Engineer in Palo Alto, California
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Lead tech discussion and evaluation sessions with cross functional teams to drive outcomes such as improved architectural designs, security and risk, and applicability for use within existing systems. Eliminate or automate remediation of issues in payment systems to improve overall operational stability of the payments platform. Design, develop, test, and maintain distributed systems that can handle high volumes of data and transactions. Utilize Real Time Payments, Event-driven architecture, Streaming platforms like Kafka, Building cloud native applications, Risk and security management, Business Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery. Responsible for testing the completed software in an effort to ensure it meets functional requirements, modifying as needed, and writing documentation. Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automatic testing, building and deployment. Orchestrate the micro-services involved in the payment processing workflow to ensure seamless integration and testing across components.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Development Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Java; Kubernetes; Apache Kafka; GCP Dataflow; Google BigQuery; Airflow; ElasticSearch; DropWizard; Apache Beam.
Job Location: 3223 Hanover St., Palo Alto, CA 94304. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $211,250 - $215,000 per year.
