Pay Range: $28 - $30 / Hour

The Job: Do you have a passion for the pool and want to be part of an all-star team? If so, you will love working around our fabulous indoor and outdoor pools! As the Aquatics Coordinator you will support all Aquatic swim programs including Group Swim Lessons, Swim Team, Private Swim Lessons, American Red Cross Classes and Adult Programs. You will be responsible for delivering the highest quality of programs and experiences to our participants, work with the Instructors and Coaches on curriculum, schedules and customer service strategies. The Core Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Drive engagement and build relationships with members to provide a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment
Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training exceptional Aquatics candidates for all swim programs
Provide continuous swim curriculum, policies and procedure training and development to ensure staff have up to date information which can be implemented with members and the general pool community
Assist with instructor training, staff communication, schedule coverage and in-services for the team
Teach, coach or lifeguard when necessary to support the team and programming needs
Support Aquatic related events such as Swim Meets, Swim Assessment Days, Family Swim Parties, American Red Cross classes and Adult Programs
The Essentials:
1+ year’s swim instructor experience required
1+ year’s lifeguarding experience preferred
Lead by example with integrity and professionalism
Strong organizational skills and customer-service oriented approach
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, with good time management and great follow-up skills
Knowledge of Google applications and Microsoft Office applications
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate information clearly (written and oral)
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to problem solve, take initiative, set priorities, handle multiple projects and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment
A passion for aquatics and health with an upbeat and positive attitude!
Punctuality and reliability are a must
A professional who is collaborative, adaptable and flexible
Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve
Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language
Flexible schedule; able to work nights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays as needed
Current, accredited Lifeguarding Certification (includes CPR/AED and First Aid certification) or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire
High School diploma/GED equivalent required
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
