The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Manager Palmdale Operations to join our team in Palmdale, CA . Senior Leader of a multi-skilled team that includes first line Managers, UAW Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers and Staff Analyst. Responsible for critical military aircraft programs requiring structural modifications and repairs. Also, will include exciting technology demonstrator programs for new aircraft technologies.

Will work together with a Boeing Test & Evaluation and Boeing Defense & Space USAF Program Team based in Palmdale.

Senior dedicated leader needed at Palmdale, CA site for B1-B Bomber Modification Program and Follow On Aircraft Structural Modification and Aircraft Demonstrater Programs

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines

• Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

• Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

• Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years of experience leading and/or managing a team

• 5+ years of Aerospace structures experience (repairs/modifications)

• 5+ years of experience in program management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor degree or higher in an engineering field of study

• Experience with career developing team

• Experience in safety and quality, getting waste out of the system, quality improvements etc

• Experience with financial plans for the organization

• Experience with efficiencies and lien improvements

Summary pay range: 166,600 – 225,400
