Hyatt Assistant Housekeeping Manager in PALM SPRINGS, California

Thompson Palm Springs is now recruiting for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager. Thompson Palm Springs is the desert’s most exciting destination tailored for influential locals and sophisticated globetrotters alike. Situated at the heart of the city’s iconic Palm Canyon Drive, the hotel will offer a collection of 168 bungalow-inspired guest rooms and suites coupled with our total event space of 8,000 square feet plusadditionaloutdoor and unique spaces. Thompson Palm Springs will also house its own mainstay dining concept that will feed into the menus at two bespoke pools andaccompanyinglounges. an impressive array of ground-level retail space spanning over30,000-square-feet, guests will also have access toa state-of-the-artfitness center and a first-of-its-kind tasting room from HALL Napa Valley, withadditionaltenants to follow.

TheAssistant Housekeeping Manageris responsible for assisting in the oversight of the entire housekeeping area, including public areas. This requires a solid understanding of housekeeping and will assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed. Responsibilities may also include staff training, development and scheduling. TheAssistant Housekeeping Managerwill promote an atmosphere that insures customer and associate satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members.

Additional responsibilities of theAssistant Housekeeping Managerare as follows but not limited to:

· Work with the Housekeeping team to close out the day and assist in setting up the following day.

· Ensure the public areas are supported and in good condition during evening events.

· Provide solution-based customer service with any guest concerns that arise during shift and assist with the follow-up of previous guest concerns from the day.

The annual salary range for this position is $66,560to $72,200.This is theannual salaryfor this position that Thompson Palm Springsreasonably expectsto pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based ona number offactors includingexperience,and education.

  • ·Refined verbal and written communication skills.

  • ·Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

  • ·Service oriented style with professional presentations skills

  • ·Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset

  • ·Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line

  • ·Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • ·Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
