Geographic Solutions, Inc. Business Development Representative, Corrections Industry in Palm Harbor, Florida

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, the full-time Business Development Representative position is primarily responsible for sales to public and private agencies in the corrections industry. Our products provide agencies with job search tools and related career services to help offenders transition back into the community. The new Business Development Representative will be a member of our Sales team and will work with the Director of Sales and Marketing. The position will include a varied set of responsibilities, as described below.

Note: All New hires will travel to GSI's headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida for a week of new hire orientation.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching prospective sales targets and identifying opportunities
  • Contacting both cold and warm prospective clients via phone, email, and social media
  • Setting up and attending online and face-to-face meetings with prospective clients
  • Delivering presentations and product demonstrations via the web links or face-to-face meetings
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the company's products and explaining the nuanced differences between products
  • Independently managing a pipeline
  • Writing effective proposals and quotes
  • Building relationships
  • Working with existing clients to introduce them to the company's product suite
  • Attending conferences and other networking events to promote Geographic Solutions and its products
  • Documenting sales activity in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Working with the Case Management team to ensure product delivery and implementation to the client's satisfaction

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum of two years in sales positions with proven sales results in related industries
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledgeable about the corrections industry and/or experience working in public job placement/career development fields and working with individuals at all levels and areas of discipline.
  • Experience of delivering product demonstrations and presentations in a professional environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying client needs, developing solutions, andorganizing information.
  • Demonstrate organizational and follow-up abilities.
  • Providing and receivingfeedback.

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to client sites and conferences
