Robert Half Accounting Manager in Palm Desert, California
Description
We are seeking a diligent, accomplished Accounting Manager with experience in government or non-profit industries. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and be familiar with software systems such as Blackbaud or similar non-profit-based software.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
Managing and supervising accounting department activities and employees to achieve department and company success.
Preparing and reviewing budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
Analyzing and reviewing budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants.
Ensuring all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and regulations.
Coordinating with software vendors to maintain accounting software systems; participating in software updates and training.
Assisting with the ongoing improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
Initiating and leading financial audits.
Developing and maintaining financial analysis and reporting activities for organizational performance measures.
Collaborating with management on development and execution of funding strategies.
Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met, internally and externally.

Requirements
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
Non-Profit Industry
Blackbaud or other Non-profit ERP System experience
