Position Specific Description

As a member of the Power Generation Division’s Cost and Growth team, you will be a part of NextEra Energy's investment decision-making process. The Cost and Growth team's primary objectives include the following:

  • Build accurate, reliable and timely operations and maintenance (O&M) forecasts to evaluate bid opportunities for both new build and M&A projects

  • Identify, communicate, and seek mitigation for technical and operational risk exposure in Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)

  • Support O&M Services Agreement offerings for third-party owned sites

This role will gain exposure to wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen, and emerging technology opportunities, including M&A, divestitures, and both utility-scale and distributed generation projects. Cross-functional collaboration with various subject matter experts across engineering, development, supply chain, legal and project valuation will be critical to success.

We are seeking a motivated individual with the following characteristics:

  • Blend of technical and commercial/financial experience

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate through written, verbal and presentation forms

  • Experience building and managing dynamic MS Excel models

  • Strong project management skills

  • Consistently demonstrates ability to train and mentor team members

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to Senior Leadership

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
