About this role:

The Brand Manager will oversee and optimize our portfolio of brands across various channels, regions, and customer segments. The Brand Manager will be responsible for ensuring brand synergy, implementing strategic brand improvements, and driving revenue and cost synergies through effective brand migrations. They will support the overall strategic objectives of the Carrier Marketing and Communications department on various branding/marketing projects and functional support activities.

The ideal candidate will be adept at strategic thinking and hands-on execution, as well as detailed project planning and project management, collaborating closely with cross-functional business units and regional marketing leaders. Experience in brand management, strategic marketing, customer persona development, customer journey mapping and marketing activations will be beneficial to success. The Brand Manager will report to the Strategic Marketing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Architecture Management: Periodically review and evaluate the Carrier Global Corporation portfolio of brands to drive brand synergy across channels, regions, and customer segments, ensuring consistent brand positioning and alignment with corporate objectives. Recommend and support adjustments to the brand portfolio based on Carrier’s overarching brand strategy and the unique dynamics of individual channels, regions, and customer needs.

  • Brand Governance: Develop and socialize branding governance approach to ensure unique brand identities and positioning. Provide continuous training and resources to internal teams to help them understand the importance of branding and the role of the brand. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure new products, services or brands align with the overall brand strategy and brand architecture.

  • Strategic Brand Insights and Persona Development: Support the brand architecture and brand strategies by analyzing existing internal strategic data and external market research to generate insights. Develop and align customer personas to brand strategies by identifying trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics.

  • Brand Migration Management: Lead and project manage brand migration initiatives in collaboration with business unit and regional marketing leaders to realize marketing cost and brand revenue synergies. Ensure smooth transitions while preserving brand equity and market presence. Determine and implement systematic process for repeatable brand migrations.

  • Brand Metrics and Reporting: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to brand migration progress and effectiveness. Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement.

  • Consultative Department Support: Support department transformation efforts through organization of branding and marketing content and development of presentations to drive brand communication effectiveness.

  • Create Brand Advocacy: Act as a change agent to gain internal buy-in highlighting the importance of branding efforts. “Train the trainer” with internal marketing professionals to multiply brand advocacy sentiment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years of experience in brand management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Experience in brand management, in a global and/or multi-regional organization.

  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, portfolio management, and brand migration processes.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in applying market research, data analysis and consumer insights to drive informed decisions.

  • Proven ability to drive people, process and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.

  • Superior project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously using internal and agency resources.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to generate insights from data and market research.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in branding and marketing tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
