  • As part of the global Refrigeration Communications & Marketing team, the chosen candidate will have an opportunity to help shape how the company communicates to its global Refrigeration employees and how they support a healthy, safe, sustainable, and intelligent cold chain.

  • This includes developing compelling written and visual content aligned with Carrier’s priorities, identifying and leveraging employee communications tools, and working to strengthen engagement globally for both networked and non-networked employees.

  • The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills. Must be a self-starter and possess tactical, creative, and strategic acumen, with a track record of success across a broad spectrum of today’s communication channels. The position will report to the Manager of Public Relations and Communications for Refrigeration, working closely with other members of the global Refrigeration Communications & Marketing team, Human Resources, and members of the segment leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing conversational and visual communications for Carrier’s global Refrigeration employees across a variety of platforms including the employee intranet, email messaging, internal social channels, and digital signage. Specific actions will include:

  • Sourcing content from business units and functions to highlight key priorities.

  • Reviewing and editing articles to establish consistent and cohesive messaging.

  • Managing an editorial calendar to ensure articles fairly represent Refrigeration’s diverse product lines and locations.

  • Planning strategic, integrated campaigns celebrating employee engagement.

  • Tracking usage metrics to drive future content; publishing leadership messages and videos both on the intranet and via email.

  • Analyzing and providing monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly website KPIs to segment leads and leadership.

  • Supporting and implementing search engine optimization/search engine marketing to optimize business websites and social media.

  • Collaborating and project management alongside third-party creative agencies.

  • Identifying opportunities to translate content for the global employee population.

  • Identifying opportunities for Carrier leaders to share thought leadership messaging with employees.

  • Uploading videos to an internal hosting tool and exporting for broader use.

  • Assist with uploading and managing digital assets for the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.

  • Assist in developing content and procuring physical assets for quarterly Customer Experience refresh events.

  • Develop and update marketing collateral (i.e., fact sheets, brochures, presentations, graphics, etc.).

  • Working with HR on accurate employee distribution lists for targeted communications.

  • Supporting events through creating graphics, invitations, tracking registration, and more.

  • Providing ad hoc writing and editing support.


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Journalism, or related field of study required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that reflect an ability to clarify and simplify complex issues and subject matters.

  • Demonstrated writing and editing experience in print and/or online media.

  • Strong technical capabilities, expertise with content management systems, and comfort managing a variety of digital communications tools.

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency under demanding deadlines.

  • Highly efficient project management abilities and the ability to balance multiple projects.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

  • Strong attention to detail, high-quality work, and the ability to make recommendations.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a successful track record.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Photoshop.
