Job Description:

This position holds responsibility for aiding with the development and successful implemention of a future state IMS facilities roadmap. This role serves as a business partner to the Segment facilities leader as well as CHQ and broader management team to track the portfolio, analyze its utilization and support business operations and footprint shaping. The role requires learning a complex business and its requirements and translating those into footprint requirements and financial plans. Routine portfolio actions (growth, maintenance, and disposition) all need appropriate approvals that will be briefed and tracked by this position. Communication regularly with contacts inside and outside of the organization on matters scaling conversations appropriately to gather the required inputs. Models footprint change impacts in expense and capital, to aid solid business decisions and strategy. Gather data from disperate sources, homoginize that data, and establish consistent tracking and reporting methodologies. Opportunities for problem solving, decision making and innovation are regularly complex, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple areas of the organization. Extensively analyzes implications of both near and long-term implications of solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Build upon the Tactical and Strategic Management of the IMS Facilities portfolio in terms of coordinating w/ other responsible parties across IMS and CHQ Shared Services (Business stakeholders, Facilities, Space Planning and GRE).

  • Add value to the IMS segment wide strategy to optimize footprint.

  • Partner with Sector and Functional experts to understand how future business needs will drive facility utilization requirements.

  • Create and analyze financial models to determine the cost effectiveness of various facility scenarios

  • Create and manage cost projections for facilities capital and expense at a site and sector level.

  • Portfolio responsibility for a large domestic and international portfolio of properties crossing leased and owned as well as facility types and deal structures.

  • Insure approval packages for portfolio actions meet all required criteria, reflect consistent data types, and adhere to corporate standards.

  • Manage tactical plans to enact the future facilities portfolio.

  • Partner with Global Real Estate (GRE) in real estate optimization, and perform cost study analyses to determine the most optimal path forward. To include lease versus purchase analyses, and future cross segment facility plans.

  • Work closely with Global Real Estate and IMS Sectors to drive consistency throughout the L3Harris sites and best practice sharing.

  • Work with IMS facilities personnel communicating new processes and tools to help in the execution of their day to day work, driving standard operating proceedures.

  • Assist and support the team with identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities by applying e3 principles and tools. Conduct external industry benchmarking, evaluate and implement solutions through active change management.

  • Ability to travel and work effectively in a matrix organization

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

  • Previous Multi-Site facility portfolio management experience.

  • Project Management experience

  • Expereince managing expense and capital budgets

  • Excel, Powerpoint and Project Management tracking software experience

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong Attention to Detail; Rigorous with keeping up with dates , budget numbers, tracking portfolio actions.

  • Construction Management experience

  • Skilled Communicator, expresses ideas with appropriate detail and context

  • Competent with Excel, Word, & Powerpoint
