Associate Internal Auditor

Job Description

Renesas Electronics America is looking for an Internal Auditor to assist and support the organization with initial compliance and ongoing preparation, testing and monitoring of quality systems. Performs evaluation of internal controls, communications, risk assessments and maintenance of documentation. Conducts ongoing audits, assessing risk in terms of operational and strategic controls. Identifies risk and evaluates deficiencies while working with internal departments/business units to appropriately remedy them. Communicates audit results and prepares written documentation/reports disclosing all significant deficiencies to management. Performs incoming quality inspections and compliance to specifications for raw materials used in the manufacturing processes. Notifies engineering resources and provides relevant documentation for non-conforming materials. Will prepare material samples and operate a scanning electron microscope for manufacturing standard compliance.

Quality Control Auditor (QC Auditor) is responsible for the planning and execution of the internal audit program to ensure compliance with internal procedures, external standards, and customer requirements. Auditor will support overall compliance to the following external standards; ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-PRF-19500

Duties, tasks, and responsibilities of the Auditor include:

  • Create and manage the internal audit schedule to ensure audits are completed according to internal procedure and the external standards.

  • Work with Quality Manager to ensure findings of noncompliance are assigned appropriate root cause and corrective actions to address the noncompliance.

  • Review audit reports for completeness prior to submission to Quality Manager for final approval.

  • Perform follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions are fully implemented and effective.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in a role with strict quality standards

  • Associates' degree preferred.

  • Must have auditor certification for the required external standards, or ability to become certified.

  • Should be well versed with root cause analysis methods and be able to assist nonconformance owners in a suitable assessment as appropriate.

  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures.

  • Should be detail oriented.

  • Should have very good communication skills, both verbally and in report writing.

  • Must be a US Citizen
