Job Summary and Qualifications - 11P-7A

Champion HCA ’s mission, vision and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company
Disinfects and cleans the facility following the CDC, OSHA and Infection Control Guidelines. To insure the esthetic and aseptic standards are met throughout the facility.
Washes and disinfects beds and furniture
Damp dusts all horizontal surfaces, TV’s, overhead lights, blinds

Dusts and wet mops floors, not pushing dirt into corners
Cleans and disinfects all bathroom fixtures
Upon patient discharge will clean and disinfect room and restroom
Completes all discharge cleaning within 30 minutes, occupied room cleaning within 12 minutes
Cleans and disinfects public areas, nutrition rooms, waiting areas, utility rooms, med rooms, offices, conference rooms, doctors’dictation areas, nurse’s stations, ancillary areas of the facility and grounds
Gathers and disposes of refuse, regular trash, and infectious waste; according to procedure; cleaning and relining the receptacles
Collects soiled linen, secures the bag, and places it in the proper container for pick up
Maintains hospital and departmental equipment in clean, good condition
Responsible for economical use of supplies
Follows BSI precautions when handling trash, soiled linen, and bio-hazardous waste
At completion of assigned duties, reports to manager / supervisor for additional projects
Participates in emergency preparedness drills, and actual emergencies as instructed
Follows all hospital and department safety policies and procedures at all times

Greets patients upon entering the room, smiles and maintains an even voice level being respectful of the patient’s privacy and needs
What qualifications you will need:
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience: Six or more months of hospital cleaning preferred
