We are a rapidly expanding organization committed to our equipment uptime and reliability. We are looking for a new Reliability Engineer to build out a systematic approach to our maintenance, mitigating issues before they become issues, and driving continuous improvement. In addition to this role, we are investing in a new Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to help make our efforts successful and sustainable.

Location: can be located in one of our three largest plants - Lancaster, PA - York, PA - Ozark, AL. (715 Fountain Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601 - 76 Acco Drive, York, PA 17402 - 451 West Roy Parker Road, Ozark, AL 36360)* Reliability Engineer Salary Range:* $89,000 - $110,000, based on experience Travel: approximately 10% domestic travel

Core Contributions:

  • Design and execute reliability improvement strategies that focus on minimizing unplanned downtime and optimizing equipment performance.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify equipment vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and refine preventive (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs based on data-driven analysis to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Lead reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, such as mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to design modifications to existing equipment that reduce failure rates and improve reliability.
  • Review equipment specifications and design for reliability in new capital projects, ensuring new equipment meets reliability standards and objectives.
  • Support adoption of condition-based monitoring technologies, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, to predict and prevent equipment failures.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to maintenance teams, ensuring best practices in reliability and maintenance engineering are applied consistently.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of reliability engineering activities, including analysis reports, work instructions, and performance tracking.
  • Stay informed on the latest reliability engineering practices, standards, and technologies, and integrate them into the organization's practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for operators and maintenance personnel to enhance their knowledge of reliability best practices.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Essential Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) through ASQ or equivalent certification
  • 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or equipment reliability within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • In-depth experience with reliability engineering principles, including RCA, FMEA, RCM, and predictive maintenance methodologies
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS) and familiarity with TPM and Lean Manufacturing principles
