Olin Winchester LLC Wastewater Technician 12344 in Oxford, Mississippi

This is a Wastewater Technician position located in the Oxford, Ms area.

Salary: $22.54/hour with an increase to $28.09/hour depending upon experience. Schedule: Alternate schedule (evenings 6:30p-6:30a, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)

Job Summary:The Wastewater Technician is responsible forĀ  the operation and maintenance of Class C Water systems.

Wastewater Technician Essential Functions: Independently perform maintenance work that includes changing pumps, piping, lubrication, repairs and instrument calibration. Routine inspection of boilers, pumps, and water softener. Operate chemical feed systems, computer-controlled equipment systems, lift station pump, boiler, and hazardous waste sludge press. Perform lab analysis for system monitoring and boiler feedwater. Responsible for inventory control and completion of daily treatment log sheets. Utilize appropriate RCRA procedures to conduct hazardous waste tasks.

Wastewater Technician Position Requirements: One year of wastewater operations experience preferred. Possession of Mississippi Class C Waterworks Operator Certification, or ability to obtain certification within reasonable timeframe. Ability to work an alternate schedule (evenings 6:30p-6:30a, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off) and overtime, including weekends and holidays, as required. Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

Location-Specific Requirements: This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required. This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
